COVID-19 Inspection Update
As we try to accommodate the inspection request we are providing the following information.

In General your inspector

May we wearing a N95 mask in the interest of both your and the inspector’s safety and health.

If the inspector feels his/her health may be compromised they may leave and reschedule at a later time.

Inspections not ready as scheduled may result in enforcement of the Town’s re-inspection fee.

For residential inspections in occupied homes -
-
We would ask that if you are having symptoms to please not schedule an inspection.

For your and our inspectors safety practice keeping a safe distance to prevent spread of any virus.

We will not send out an inspector that is having symptoms.

Please leave a good contact number for the inspector to call prior to showing up at your residence.

We want to limit long stays in your home. Please have everything ready for when the inspector arrives.

For New Construction -
-
Have the area clear of workers and contractors during the inspection.

Have a clear path to and from the inspection area. Try and leave a garage door open to prevent the use of doorknobs.

Have all documents ready and located in a conspicuous place that can be easily found by the inspector.

If an inspector arrives at a site and there are multiple contractors working in the building the inspector has the right to determine if he or she wants to complete the inspection.

If more than 10 people are onsite the inspection will be cancelled and a re-inspection fee may apply.

Please note our HOLIDAY CLOSURES: Holiday closures do not count as business days. You must request an inspection by 4:00 PM on the business day before the closer to have your inspection scheduled on the business day following the closure!
