COVID-19 Inspection Update
As we try to accommodate the inspection request we are providing the following information.
In General your inspector
May be wearing a N95 mask in the interest of both your and the inspector’s safety and health.
If the inspector feels his/her health may be compromised they may leave and reschedule at a later time.
Inspections not ready as scheduled may result in enforcement of the Jurisdiction's fee.
For residential inspections in occupied homes -
We would ask that if you are having symptoms to please not schedule an inspection.
For your and our inspectors safety practice keeping a safe distance to prevent spread of any virus.
We will not send out an inspector that is having symptoms.
Please leave a good contact number for the inspector to call prior to showing up at your residence.
We want to limit long stays in your home. Please have everything ready for when the inspector arrives.
For New Construction -
Have the area clear of workers and contractors during the inspection.
Have a clear path to and from the inspection area. Try and leave a garage door open to prevent the use of doorknobs.
Have all documents ready and located in a conspicuous place that can be easily found by the inspector.
If an inspector arrives at a site and there are multiple contractors working in the building the inspector has the right to determine if he or she can safely perform inspections.
If more than 10 people are onsite the inspection will be cancelled and a re-inspection fee may apply.
***Please take any additional preventative measures to insure that all parties are safe and stay healthy. We understand the need to keep moving forward and with a team effort we can strive to achieve that goal.
***As the State and Local authorities present updates to conditions that result in an executive order these and other documents may change. To get the latest and most accurate information please contact ProCode or the municipality.
Per the IRC/IBC - the applicant or his/her agent must provide access for the inspection.
